Checking Our Stock
Before the season kicks off, we make sure we have everything we need. This means taking stock of our jars, labels, packaging, and all the essentials required to keep up with demand. We want to ensure that when our fresh local honey is ready, it’s packed and delivered as efficiently as possible to our customers across Birmingham, Northampton, and beyond. Cleaning and Maintaining Equipment
A clean hive is a healthy hive! We spend this time carefully inspecting, cleaning, and repairing all of our beekeeping equipment. From hive tools and frames to honey extractors and storage containers, everything must be in top condition before the season begins. This ensures that our honey production remains hygienic, efficient, and high-quality, so you can enjoy pure, unprocessed raw honey straight from our hives.
Checking on Our Bees
Of course, the most important part of our preparations is making sure our bees are thriving. As the weather warms, we conduct hive inspections to check on colony health, ensure they have enough food, and prepare for any early signs of swarming.
